Sally Reed (BA hons, MA)
Staying active has always been a top priority for me. As a mother of three, a Sixth Form College teacher, and a fitness instructor, movement is at the heart of everything I do.
My fitness journey began in 2000 when I earned my first Exercise to Music qualification with YMCA. I quickly immersed myself in teaching a variety of classes, including Step, Legs, Bums & Tums, Zumba, and Dance Fitness—all while pursuing a Dance and Culture degree at Surrey University.
In 2012, I completed a Master’s in Dance Teaching with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). Even during maternity leave, I couldn’t sit still! I used the time to earn my Level 3 Pilates Specialist Matwork Diploma, along with certifications in pre/postnatal fitness and orthopedic conditions. By my second maternity leave in 2015, I had expanded my expertise further, completing a Level 4 Exercise Specialist Diploma focused on GP Exercise Referral, Exercise for Low Back Pain, and Nutrition. I also added a PiYo certification to my repertoire.
More recently, I have been deepening my expertise in Pilates, working towards advanced qualifications in Pilates Reformer training. After having my third child, I realized it was time to put my skills to greater use. Now, I’m focused on growing my community-based fitness classes, with plans to expand them gradually, incorporating more Senior Seated Pilates and Pilates Reformer sessions to support a wider range of clients.
